Who is responsible
Finding Rabbe is operated by Øystein Rabbe (“we”, “I”). For any privacy question or request, contact hello@findingrabbe.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
- Basic, anonymous usage data. Each page view is counted using our own system. We record the page visited, the referring website’s domain (for example “google.com”), and a random session identifier that is stored only for the duration of your browser tab. We do not store your IP address or use cross-site tracking for this.
- Reflection / quiz answers. If you complete one of the reflection questionnaires, your answers and the generated reflection are stored so we can understand what visitors are looking for. These are not linked to your identity unless you choose to give your email.
- Email address (optional). If you leave your email, we store it so we can get in touch. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Advertising & detailed analytics (only with consent). If you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel. These set cookies and may process personal data such as device and usage information to measure and improve our advertising. They load only after you click “Accept”.
Cookies
Our own visit-counting works without advertising cookies. The optional tools above use cookies and only run if you consent via the banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will bring the consent banner back.
- Google Analytics 4 — analytics and measurement.
- Google Ads — measuring whether ads lead to a booking or a completed reflection.
- Meta Pixel — measuring and improving Facebook/Instagram ads.
Why we may use your data (legal basis)
For anonymous visit counts and for handling an enquiry you send us, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the service. For advertising and detailed analytics cookies, and for keeping any email you submit, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Booking a conversation
Bookings are handled by Calendly. When you book, the information you enter (such as your name, email and chosen time) is processed by Calendly under their own privacy terms.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell your data. It is processed on our behalf by the services that run the site and its features, including Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Calendly (booking), and — only with your consent — Google and Meta. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Reflection answers and any email you leave are kept until they are no longer needed or until you ask us to delete them. Anonymous usage events are retained in aggregate for analysis.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@findingrabbe.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
